All VAG 16v (incl 2.0 FSI)
Standard - £395
Our most basic option giving your old head a fresh leash of life to a higher standard than the day it left the factory; pressure tested, new guides and seals, seats recut, valves reconditioned, wetblasted, chemical cleaned and skimmed.
Performance Heads - All consist of our standard recon with additional port work up.
Street/Strip - £595 (not available for FSI)
The first of our performance packages, a straight bolt on option, good for standard and mild performance cams. Improved throttle response and midrange torque, smoother power delivery with improved top end power gains.
Weekend Warrior - £750
Great step up from our fast road head ideally suited to mid to high performance cams with improved top end power delivery compared to its smaller cousin. A remap is a must when considering this head for optimum performance gains.
Race Head (KR/PL/9A/ABF Only)- £1250 incl oversized valves
Taking the 16v head to the max with larger port dimensions supporting 0.5mm oversize valves on both the intake and exhaust our 16v Race Head is a force to be reckoned with over 30% flow gains on the intake and exhaust. The Race Head is ideally suited to high lift/long duration cams with throttle Bodies/Carbs. Remap and aftermarket induction is a must to maximise gains.
n.b. any replacement valves required unless stated otherwise are additional in cost to the above prices, prices are on exchange basis.
CNC Cylinder Heads 16V. £750 + VAT (Exchange)
As fitted to the MK 1 & 2 Golf, and popular amongst road car modifiers and trackday enthusiasts. If you want to realise the full potential of your VW 16V engine you must address the restrictions of the standard head. If standard head does not supply the flow, it will not make the power.... that's Physics !!
Our head shows a very healthy inlet increase of 21.5 % peak flow rate at max valve lift is seen here along with a substantially improved flow rate across the valve lift range. Exhaust improvement is slightly less dramatic but none the less a substantial 14.4% improvement at the max valve opening. This head has the potential to give an flow which will provide up to 252 BHP and 8500rpm or 219 BHP at 7000 rpm with fueling, exhaust and camshaft modifications.
Note : flow diagrams show flow against specific valve openings at 0.050 inch valve openings at 10" pressure. Therefore actual flow volume increase is measured as the area under the graph (indicated in yellow for inlet and blue for exhaust). Standard valve sizes are used on our heads unless specified as a big valve version. Tests shown here are carried out on a flow bench on a bare head without filters. Therefore the difference between a standard engine with standard inlet ducting and filters will be larger than shown here.
